The primary goals of Eastern Mennonite University's Master Plan were the improvement of the functional usage and visual image of the campus through environmental, physical, and social analysis. Investigations include site analysis, and building and energy audits with input from administration, trustees, staff and students.

“We have saved between $3 and $4 million over the last 10 years in energy costs. If temperatures in a room on the east side of the building rise, we can take heat out of the air and put it in the loop to then circulate the warm water through pipes to the north side of the building where it is cold.”

Eldon Kurtz, Director of Physical Plant
