South Bend, Indiana

Indiana University South Bend has traditionally been a commuter campus. Chancellor Una Mae Reck had a vision to develop student housing in an effort to make the campus into more a “Total” University package.

A pedestrian bridge was completed in 2006 and links the main campus to the new housing site across the St. Joseph River.

The community building is designed to be LEED® certified.
