Designs for living –

Never before have we been in such position to affect the overall heath and wellness of society. The adjacent chart titled, “What Affects Health” attributes the general condition of our health to four broad categories, including medical care. Lifestyle and Environment combine to comprise 72% of the equation. As professionals, the environments we design and build help define where and how we live, work, learn, recreate and worship. We have a tremendous opportunity to rethink our contribution as professionals to the quality of our lives.

The environments we design and build today are significantly different than the projects we completed more than thirty years ago. Our challenge is to continue to help our clients succeed by listening carefully to fully understand their mission and business objectives and apply our broad experience with a depth of insight.

Harnessing the skills, resources and energies of the present creates a great opportunity and challenge. We are blessed with insightful clients who recognize the potential for more purposeful and meaningful living through the continuum of life. Together, we are working on exciting new ideas and sustainable solutions in senior living, education, housing, healthcare, hospitality, worship, municipal design & engineering, public libraries and commercial office environments. There isn’t one area of expertise at our firm that is unaffected by global socioeconomic, demographic and competitive changes.

Our firm is changing as well. Today, we not only offer planning and design but also construction services through Troyer Group–One Source. Our clients enjoy the benefits of a design-led construction process. This means emphasis on programming, design aesthetics, better material specifications and competitive bidding all in a streamlined process. We continue to look for ways to deliver better value, to be mission partners with our clients and to build lasting relationships.

In January 2005, Terry L. Troyer was named CEO of our firm and is giving leadership for our firm growth. We are a family owned business and operate from a set of shared values that have stood the test of time. President Jimmy Carter once said, “We must embrace changing times, but cling to unchanging principles”. We believe that our employees, clients and business partners would describe this as true and meaningful in our own professional practice as we continue to seek relationships with those who share this philosophy.
